Quill, Parchment, & Ink

There’s not a lot to do when driving up from Jersey to my aunt’s in Podunkville, New York (no that’s not really where she lives, but if I wrote the actual town trust me y’all would have never heard of it anyway) so Momo and I kept a running tally of the license plates we saw. Not a count, just every time we saw a new one I wrote it down.

End count? 19 states and 3 Providences…pretty good for July.

And the actual states were:
New York
Pennsylvania
New Jersey
(okay so seriously those three were the ones we drove through and der)
New Hampshire
Georgia
Maine
Maryland
Ohio
Arizona
Delaware
Florida
Oklahoma (yes, it set me off into a fit of giggles I explained away by singing “Ooooklahoma where the wind goes rushing through the corn”)
California (seriously not FIVE minutes after the last one…I was like ‘the fuck?!’)
Alabama (soooo tempted to text ‘bama)
Virginia
Connecticut
Illinois
Vermont
Colorado

And the three Providences:
Ontario
Quebec
Nova Scotia (no idea where this one came from. We always see the first two, but this one it was like um, what?!)

Since I’ll be driving home alone on Sunday, I won’t be able to write them down again…oh, well.
