So when I was at the Bitter End show in April, I bought Steve Carlson's Days Behind, mostly because I wanted something for him and Darren to sign after the show. I've looked at the back of the CD a bunch since then and I like the picture...thought it was very different and very 'Steve' for lack of a better term. But I also thought it was an unusual choice for a back cover.
This is the back cover: (I have no idea why this scanned crooked..it would not fix no matter what I did...blarg)

Then a couple of days ago, I took the CD out of the case...now I need to explain something so I don't look like a complete blonde here. I have had the complete album on my mp3 player since it was released and haven't needed to actually use the hard copy of the CD since I bought it. But I didn't feel like looking for my mp3 player the other day so grabbed my CD. Anyway back to the story...I took the CD out and discovered that the top of the picture is actually under the CD :-D

Now...may I just comment...why did he use the ladder picture as his CD cover? I, personally, like this one much better! But that's just my opinion and obviously he liked the other one. Anyway I had a request (after she heard the story) from
coldconcrete that I share the images so I am.
By request of
havenward , I manipulated the images and put them together as one so here they are:
Disclaimer: Images are property of Steve Carlson, et el. And just sharing them for viewing, please do not copy, etc. Thanks!

6/6/10 02:46 (UTC)Of course if I hadn't been trying to do it in 2 minutes or less it probably would have worked better.
I'll work on it tomorrow? I'm probably headed to bed soonish. Got woken up entirely too early this morning.
I like this picture a lot...it's a nice shot of him.

7/6/10 10:48 (UTC)I mean, I've got nothing against the one he chose as the cover, but this one just seems..."more Steve" as you said.
Thanks for scanning these and sharing them! *gives you hugs*

7/6/10 12:43 (UTC)Not a problem! My only issue...the stupid thing would not scan straight. My cousin kept going "Well, it is Steve..." I wanted to make faces at her. She doesn't even listen to him! Started making comments when my CD turned on in the car. (Says he's country...I was like um...no...not Steve.)

9/6/10 03:20 (UTC)Meh, I don't mind the not straightness...it kind of adds to the Steve-ness of it, lol. And I agree, he's not country. My mom is always telling me I listen to hillbilly rock whenever I play his music...I never know what to say, because I don't know what hillbilly rock is....*shrugs* Who cares, I like it!

9/6/10 10:29 (UTC)LOL yeah...I think that was what my cousin was implying. What was amusing me is that she doesn't listen to him, doesn't follow anyone he's friends with/know, etc (so only knows who he is because of me) and it just...I'm probably screwing up this explanation.
Hillbilly rock...er...um...no Steve definitely does NOT play hillbilly rock. No way no how.
Fuckity why can I not type this morning?! (That's about the 5th typo I've had to backspace and fix...damn fingers!)
Although...at least your mother is not as bad as mine. I had Morrigan (my laptop) in the kitchen one day as I was doing something and wanted music. My mother walks in, looks at it, and says to me "Who's that?"
"Who's who?"
"Who's singing?"
"Steve Carlson"
"Be nice if he could actually sing"
And walks away.
I was like but but HEY!

10/6/10 08:40 (UTC)Lol, that's funny.
And I know! She says the same thing about Jason Manns...I think she's just jealous, because she stole a CD I had made for Stella (my car) and it had Chris and Steve and Jason on it. It was pretty epic, and I was upset for a long time because I couldn't find it and then I borrow her van and what starts playing? MY CD!
LOL! Your mom sounds amusing.

10/6/10 10:29 (UTC)Yeah...she's the one trying to convince me to move in with her...and I pointed out to her that means she's gonna have to listen to country sometimes. She was quiet for a while after that. We do listen to some of the same bands at least.
I have a mix CD that I use as my "pimping" CD for Chris and Steve...maybe you should make her one of those. I can give you a link to the songs I used. I need to make a couple more of those. I burn them, write the websites on them and hand them out when I'm talking about the guys so people can hear the music.
No, no she's really not. She drives me insane.

11/6/10 02:56 (UTC)That sounds like a wonderful idea, I have a playlist on my iPod that I play for people so they can hear them...but giving them a CD sounds way more...pimpy, if you will.
I think that's a requirement for moms. They have to be able to drive their children crazy, lol.
