Original prompt: from daria234 MCU, Peggy Carter, people would be surprised at what she carries in her purse and filled by evil_little_dog

Evil_little_dog filled the original prompt and I said to her that I’d love to do it with some of the other MCU ladies. My idea was Pepper and Natasha, although I wasn’t sure Natasha would carry a purse. This was what came about from our brief comment discussion and my ideas.

MCU, Pepper Potts, people would be surprised at what she carries in her purse
Pepper used to have control over her purse. And by control, she doesn’t mean someone else now carries it. She means she used to have control over what was put into it. But now it feels like she has a toddler or a small child because every time she goes to look in her purse for something, she pulls out an item that belongs to none other than Tony Stark.

The first few times it had happened, she’d sighed and rooted through until she found what she was actually looking for. Now it was rare that she could find anything she needed in her purse.

Her tablet was still tucked away inside within easy access (since Tony considered that a necessity) and her phone, but the other normal things like her wallet and her lip gloss had to be dug out under bits and detritus that made up an engineer’s mind (and occupied his hands). She’d resigned herself to never being able to find what she wanted at a moment’s notice (and to carrying a bigger and bigger purse).

It looked like this was just a price she needed to pay for being a part of Tony Stark’s world.

MCU, Natasha Romanov, people would be surprised at what she carries in her purse
Natasha Romanov did not carry a purse. If what she needed did not fit in the pouches at her waist, or her pockets when she was out of uniform, she didn’t require it. ID and a card for incidentals slipped neatly into her pocket, along with anything else she might need during the day.

When she was undercover, her purse was dictated by the needs of her alter ego. She’d carried everything from a small clutch to an oversized shoulder bag, overflowing with accessories. Each item was carefully chosen to reflect the persona she was attempting to portray.

As a wealthy socialite, she carried a small clutch with the ‘essentials’; a tube of lipstick, a phone, a small wallet, and a knife.

As Stark’s secretary, she had a larger bag and her gear included a Stark pad (that was carefully screened) in addition to her weaponry and assorted catchalls. Her bag also included her suit which made it easier to change in the back of the car (although it did cause Happy to be distracted at an in opportune moment.)

She felt most comfortable when her hands weren’t encumbered by anything but her Glocks though and preferred to keep it that way. She was burdened by enough already.
