23/12/14 20:27How much (if any) research you do for your novels/stories, but if you do, what's the weirdest thing your research turned up that you then put in the work? From chrismouse
I don’t really do a whole lot of research for my fanfic unless you count watching the shows over and over. Well I guess I can’t say that, I have researched a few things. I looked up marriage regulations for Kentucky. I also looked up (well discussed) different methods of killing when I did a story about a serial killer (which no I never finished).
As for original fic, I’ve looked up everything from medieval torture to navel regulations to… ya know I can’t think of what else. I know I’ve looked things up, but I just can’t think of what they are right now.
As for the weirdest thing… I think it was the marriage regulations. Apparently you can get married in about (I’m trying to remember), but the waiting period is like REALLY short!
